“I want to Thank you “ by Jo Marshall

I want to thank you for meeting mum and making her the happiest woman alive. 
I want to thank you for bringing two little sisters into my life who I love very much.

I want to thank you for visiting us In Portsmouth and always being up for anything we threw your way. 
I want to thank you for letting me and Tex live with you both for 18 months instead of the 6 months as promised!

I want to thank you for helping us move house (3 times) despite having a bad back.
I want to thank you for all the DIY you have done (and it’s been a lots) from electrics to bathrooms to panelling, if I needed a power tool u had it.

I want to thank you for keeping Marshall Gas alive during Covid, without you we couldn’t’ of survived, Everyone was furloughed but you helped Tex keep it going- THANKYOU 
Also on that note of work thank you for making Tex’s sandwiches, mine couldn’t compare to your standards ❤️

Thank you for treating Rae as your own and looking after her on the boat when I was too poorly to look after her, she loved every minute of being grandad’s 2nd mate and teaching her to sail.

Thank you for being there when Jack and Leo were born and in special care, picking me up each day in the wheelchair so I could see Rae after school.
Thank you for helping label and store all the breast milk so I didn’t get confused with the lack of sleep. You knew how all too consuming it was for me doubling up on everything.

I want to thank you for being my running buddy (in all climates I might add) and getting to 5k . Couldn’t of asked for a better partner, then later  getting me to 10k.

My deepest memory was you recording Rae aged 3 playing with two dolls in storage boxes , you had asked the special care nurses for some old wires and you got Rae to care and imitate the nurses - there are no words that day except I loved you more than ever ! 
Getting Jack and Leo’s big sister ready so when she  met them for the first time she wasn’t frighted was the best gift you could of ever given a mother.

I want to thank you for being an amazing grandad to the children they are so lucky 🍀

I want to thank you for being a great team member and great employee and never giving me any grief.

I want to THANKYOU for always being at the end of the phone when I have needed you. 

And lastly I want to thank you again for marrying mum and coming into our lives. You are one in a million Ian and are loved very much xxxx
